TERMS OF SERVICE, CONDITIONS & PRIVACY
The session fee pays for the time and talent of the photographer and for your in-person viewing appointment. It does not include any finished portraits. The session fee is due at the time of your portrait session. Session fees are non-refundable*, however with a minimum 48 hours notice it can be rescheduled in case of an emergency.*Fees are fully refundable during phased re-opening due to COVID-19.
If your child is ill on the day of the session please call to reschedule. If you try to keep the appointment, we may request that you reschedule of we notice your child is not well. This same approach applies to us. If we become ill, we will reschedule with you at a time we are all in good health.
If you have or are having a BOY, please schedule his circumcision either well before of after your session. We will be swaddling your baby tightly while he is naked, and moving him from one position to another constantly during the session. We will NOT photograph a newborn who has been circumcised less than 6 days prior to the session.
Please bring only the subjects to be photographed to the session. This is especially important with pets and kids. Genevieve needs her full attention on the subjects being photographed and vise versa. Of course parents are always welcome.
Personal cameras are not allowed in studio during your session. Please refrain from taking iPhone images or video taping. We work very hard to ensure your session is captured artistically and creatively. We ask that you respect our livelihood and refrain from taking photographs of what we are creating. We understand it can be exciting to share behind the scenes images. If you wish to do so, please ask Genevieve before taking photos and for approval of the image to be posted.
You agree to hold harmless, Genevieve Grenon, her representatives, employees and Genevieve Photostudio, from any dispute in the event you or your family become injured during your session or while on the studio premises. Genevieve Photostudio and it’s representatives will not be held liable for any injury to you, your children or your family members, or for any damage to your property during the photo session or while on studio premises.
You will view your portraits at a personally attended reveal and ordering session. You will be asked to order at this time. Please make sure all decisions makers are present, as additional ordering appointments incur a $100 fee. Once your order is placed, digital products will be loaded to a USB and printing orders sent to the print lab. Once home, please look at each files to ensure quality. Corruption of file(s) may occur and will be replaced if notified within 30 days. A perfect version will be sent via electronic submission. Printing them through our professional lab will ensure proper quality and correct color. We cannot guarantee correct color or quality if printed elsewhere.
Almost all Genevieve Photostudio clients invest in digital files. With this purchase, you will be able to take your files home the day of your ordering appointment. Due to the downloadable nature of this content, once files are removed from the studio, the sale is final and non-refundable.
Clients who cannot make a decision about products or images during their viewing appointment may reschedule and additional viewing appointment for a $100 fee. Digital files cannot be released outside the studio until full payment is made.
While Genevieve does capture many images during your session, you will see only those images selected by her, the artist, for previewing. She carefully renders each image to ensure maximum artistry and technical excellence. Images with eyes closed, heads turned, duplicates, etc. will not be shown and are removed from our archives permanently after the artist rendering is complete.
Due to the custom nature of the work, payment for your order must be placed in full and is subject to a 50% cancellation fee should you change your mind about an order after it has been placed. Once an order is sent to the lab or digital files submitted to the client either by USB, electronic transfer or email, the order is deemed non-refundable. Payments may be made by cash, check, electronic money transfer or Paypal. Additional charges may apply. Payment plan is available.
Design work and custom graphics may be approved electronically to confirm font, spelling and correct wording. Requests for image re-touching will be honored at a $75 per hour re-touching fee and at the discretion of the artist. Re-touching will be performed to the artists desired outcome and is considered the final version. Artist will not perform re-touching she does not see fit.
Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for your order to be completed. Some orders may take longer. Your portraits are an investment and an heirloom that should not be rushed.
All ordered images are kept on file for a period of 6 months. Un-ordered images are removed from our archives after 30 days. Re-orders placed more than 60 days after the preview appointment, require a minimum $250 re-order.
The Canadian Copyright Act protects photographers by giving us the exclusive right to reproduce your photographs. Violations include but are not limited to, making illegal copies, scanning, printing images that have not been licensed with purchase. Images purchased by clients include personal usage, lincesing rights and may never be used for personal gain.
PRIVACY
Information provided by you via general e-mail inquiries to Genevieve Photostudio such as your e-mail address is used only to respond to your inquiries in the ordinary course of business, and is never shared with third parties.
Security: Security for all personally identifiable information is extremely important to us. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Genevieve Photostudio cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit via the internet. By transmitting any such information to Genevieve Photostudio, you accept that you do so at your own risk.
Your Acceptance of These Terms: By using Genevieve Photostudio services, you accept the policies and restrictions set forth in this Online Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use the service. This Online Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time by updating this posting.
